Department Colloquium: Lena Timko on Channel Dynamics
The Department of Geography hosted our very own Lena Timko for today’s departmental colloquium.
Lena delivered a fascinating presentation titled “Changes in channel dynamics due to interaction between neighboring sedimentary fans.” Her talk provided insight into the complex channel morphodynamics that occur when adjacent fan systems interact, shedding light on how these interactions cause changes in fan activity well beyond what we would expect.

It was a fantastic session with a high level of engagement from the audience.
This is a significant milestone as she prepares for the next big step: she will be defending her Master’s thesis in just one month!
